It's all about the letters Qq and Yy this week. We will also continue to work on consonant blends (i.e., bl, fl, cl, etc.) How many words can you find around the home or out shopping that contain an initial /q/ or /y/ sound? (i.e., quack, quiver v. yellow, yesterday, etc.)
Explore with your child what nouns and verbs are. For example could the word "cook" be used as a verb or as a noun or both?
Play a game: What rhymes with ___________? See if your child can respond correctly.
