Leveled Readers for Kindergarten
Dear Parents/Guardians,
The list below has active links that will take you to the readers we use each week to build students' reading skills, including stamina. When we work together to keep students interested in reading, the better readers they will become, and, as a result, the better students they will become. Please download and print these books and encourage your child to read at home.
Even if your child cannot read the words on the page, remind him/her that there are three different ways to read: 1. reading words; 2. reading pictures; and/or 3. retelling the story.
Please help your child become familiar with and interested in books and words. Pick books based on interest and reading ability, and students will surely excel! Send in any books you would like the class to read together. Better yet, come in and volunteer some time to read to the class your child's favorite book!
Thank you,
Ms. Dowell
